CAMEROON: L’Eau Claire Centre, Bangangté

This centre opened its doors in 2007 to help about 30 children from Bangangté, 4 hours drive away from Yaoundé. In 2017, a new building with a greater surface area (220 m²) was built in order to increase the welcoming capacity of the centre. Today, it welcomes around 100 children and young adults aged between 3 and 20, along with 3 teachers and one manager: Djibrail Ngassam.

Organisation of the centre:

  • The centre opens its doors: 4 times a week (holidays included)
  • On-site activities: after school tutoring, library access, computer science, play room, rugby training
  • Medical action: presence of a nurse, 5 days a week
  • Self-financing: SBA COOP, mother’s farming cooperative.
